Mahindra Tractors Registers 25 Percent Increase in Domestic Sales in March 2011
Mahindra and Mahindra’s Farm Equipment Sector (FES), a part of the U.S. $11.1 billion Mahindra Group, maintained its leadership position in the tractor industry in March 2011.
Domestic sales in March 2011 stood at 18,729 units, as against 15,039 units for the same period last year, an increase of 25 percent. Total tractor sales (domestic plus exports) in March 2011 stood at 19,848 units, as against 16,164 units for the same period last year, an increase of 23 percent.
Total cumulative sales (domestic plus exports) for the period April 2010 till March 2011 stood at 21,3653 units, as compared to 17,4634 units for the same period last year, an increase of 22 percent.
