The New SVL65-2 Is the Company’s Lightest and Most Maneuverable Track Unit Yet

Kubota Tractor Corp. began marketing in the United States in 1972, with an initial introduction of a 12-hp compact tractor. Since then, the company has greatly expanded its product offerings, joining the compact track loader market in 2010. Today, Kubota offers the SVL75-2, the SVL95-2s and now the SVL65-2, Kubota’s lightest and most maneuverable compact track loader yet.

Kubota Tractor Corp. unveiled its new SVL65-2 to its popular compact track loader line, further diversifying its construction equipment offerings. The new compact track loader is positioned in a lighter ROC weight class than its predecessors and features a slide-up overhead front door and easy on/off self-leveling function. The new SVL65-2 features an Advanced Multifunction Valve (AMV) that provides smooth operation when using simultaneous functions, such as auxiliary, boom and bucket circuits, allowing operators to get the job done faster. The SVL65-2 boasts a wide working range including a rated operating capacity of 2,100 lbs at 35 percent or 3,000 lbs at 50 percent, a reach of 34.9 in. and a hinge pin height of 118.5 in.

Powered by a 96.4-gross-hp (87-net-hp) diesel engine with a common rail system (CRS), the SVL95-2s is the most powerful compact track loader in the Kubota product lineup. The engine’s performance is matched by its fuel economy, featuring a 28.8-gal fuel tank and a 5-gal diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank. The SVL95-2s can run a full eight- to 10-hour workday without needing to refuel and a four- to five-day workweek before a DEF tank refill is needed. With a 3,200-lbs rated operating capacity, over 40 in. of reach and hydraulic flow rates ranging from 5 to 40 gpm, the SVL95-2s has the muscle to handle heavy-duty lifting and loading chores.

Each Kubota machine is versatile enough to work in tight areas, maneuvering easily around residential and commercial projects. Kubota continues to see growth in this segment because of the versatility the compact track loader series offers. With a large assortment of available attachments, Kubota compact track loaders are a versatile base for grapples, hammers, snowblowers, rotary cutters, graders, tillers and more.

Kubota’s SVL Series offers a wider cab entrance, with a 36-in. side-screen to side-screen width, allowing operators to comfortably pivot when looking to their rear. In addition, a high back seat provides back support from shoulders to lower torso. When equipped with a cab enclosure, the cab door slides up and down to improve ingress and egress. Operators can pin the door in the open position and continue to operate with the door open, so there is no need to remove the door and store it where it can get lost or damaged. Front doors can be opened regardless of the loader position.

Advice to Buyers

“It’s small-but-mighty size allows track loaders to maneuver easily in tight areas. Smaller units are even lighter in weight, which means less soil compaction but still a powerful punch in efficiency, making it an ideal choice for landscapers, rental yards and small contractors,” says Tim Boulds, Kubota Construction Equipment product operations manager. “Offering this smaller-class size compact track loader further strengthens construction equipment fleets for contractors.”
