Gehl just expanded the top of its loader range. The company introduced five large-frame models for North America. They target high ROC, strong breakout and serious hydraulic flow. Parent brand Manitou released the same platform a couple of weeks ago. Gehl brings its own paint, options and dealer network. Large-frame loaders keep gaining ground. Readers tell us they want one machine to load, grade and run heavy attachments, and brands like Gehl and Manitou are answering the call. From the press release:

“These new machines are second to no other make or model of skids and CTLs in the industry in terms of comprehensive performance, effectiveness, style and safety,” says Nathan Ryan, global product manager — skid steers and CTLs, GEHL. “They are built big, strong, simple and easy to maintain to uphold the demands of the jobsite: uptime, performance, utilization, and efficiency.”

The New Gehl Lineup

Gehl launched three skid steers and two compact track loaders. All are vertical-lift machines.

  • V325 skid steer — 72 hp, 3,250-lb ROC
  • V335 skid steer — 100 hp, 3,350-lb ROC
  • V360 skid steer — 114 hp, 3,600-lb ROC
  • VT335 CTL — 100 hp, 3,350-lb ROC
  • VT360 CTL — 114 hp, 3,600-lb ROC

Optional side counterweights can push ROC to 3,800 lb. Hinge pin height reaches up to 136 in. across the line.

Breakout Force and Lift

These loaders offer a lot of the same specs. Bucket breakout force tops out at 10,624 lbs. Lift arm breakout lands just over 7,000 lbs, depending on model. The platform focuses on vertical-lift stability and truck loading reach. These machines are built for attachments. Standard flow reaches up to 25 gpm at 3,450 psi. High flow hits 40 gpm up to 3,450 psi. Hydraulic horsepower is 50.3 hp standard with an 82 hp boost option. Variable flow lets operators dial in attachment needs. Creep mode separates ground speed from engine rpm for planers and brooms. From the press release:

“The frame, structure and strength of these machines allows for confident lifting, carrying and placing of heavy loads,” says Ryan. “Match that with the comprehensive hydraulic performance of the machine, from movement and power to attachment operation, and you have an extremely effective and satisfying-to-operate machine.”

Attachments These Loaders Aim to Run

  • Forestry mulchers
  • Heavy brush cutters
  • Cold planers
  • Big snow boxes and blowers

New Lift Arms and Undercarriage

Gehl redesigned the lift arms with a slope away from the cab. The shape sheds debris and improves side visibility. Hydraulic lines route inside or under the arms for protection. Cast timing links support ground-engaging work and attachment control. Tracked models get a tougher undercarriage. Expect steel-forged hardened sprockets with corrosion inhibitor. Dual-flange idlers front and rear help prevent detracking and cut vibration. Triple-flange rollers add more stability. Gehl’s IdealTrax automatic track-tensioning is now set from the in-cab display. Hydraglide boom suspension is standard. It helps keep material in the bucket and smooths the ride. Counterweights double as rear guarding and add stability.

Cab, Options and Service

Gehl fit a 7-in. color display with clear graphics. A back-lit keypad clusters key functions near the right armrest. Standard features include pilot joysticks tied to the seat, a foot pedal for throttle and decel, dome lighting, 12V and USB ports and a removable floor mat with a drain. The roof slopes forward and uses a large skylight for better dump-height visibility. A Level 2 FOPS option adds protected light mounts.

Comfort Options

  • Enclosed cab with HVAC
  • Multiple seat choices including heated
  • Sound reduction package
  • Bluetooth radio

The rear cooler tilts up. That lowers the rear profile and opens the engine bay. A reversible fan can run on a schedule or on demand. Daily checks group around easy-reach points. Grease zerks are visible along the lift arms. The cab tilts for deeper service access.

Forestry and Site Prep Package

Gehl offers a purpose-built package for high-impact jobs. It includes an impact-resistant swing-out front door and side glass. Guarding covers critical areas, including a swing-out rear cage that also adds counterweight. An integrated winch supports recovery work.

Lighting and Connectivity

Front LEDs are standard and include an egress time delay. Rear work lights and turn signals come standard. Options include road lights, hazard lights and tucked-in side lights. The machines connect through the myGEHL mobile app. Owners can view location, hours, fuel level and service intervals. Gehl EasyMANAGER adds fleet dashboards, geofencing and fault code tracking.

Where This Fits in the Market

These models sit at the top of Gehl’s loader range. They join a growing class of large-frame machines from major brands. The pitch is simple: run bigger attachments without moving up to a dozer or wheel loader footprint. From the press release:

“These machines will impress owners and operators with their performance, design, and the intentional thought that went into how they fit into day-to-day operation,” says Ryan. “Each model is powerful and efficient in ways that will improve every business, farm and jobsite that deploys them — and will outperform almost all other comparably sized machines on the market today in most critical operating metrics. If you haven’t considered GEHL in recent fleet expansions, now is the time.”
