Construction Equipment Reality Show – “Machines of Glory” – Premieres on the Discovery Channel (Video)
Discovery Channel has an excellent array of reality shows (Gold Rush, Dirty Jobs and Mythbusters for starters), where you can find a variety of construction equipment at work. Now the entertainment and educational network is picking up at least three episodes of purely construction equipment-driven drama called “Machines of Glory.”
Right now the show’s tentatively scheduled to air on Discovery Channel later in March, but the new competition show will pit three crews of machine operators against each other in a series of hardhat battles, testing areas of speed, skill and power on machines like backhoes, excavators and wheel loaders. Johnny Littlefield (Extreme Makeover: Home Edition) is the host, and we actually got to meet Mr. Littlefield at the recent Caterpillar event in Clayton, N.C. All equipment for the show will be provided by Cat.
