Compact Tool Carrier Attachment Showcase
McLaughlin Boring Attachment
The McLaughlin M-4500 Series hydraulic boring attachments are engineered to work on compact tool carriers. These attachments are capable of producing tunnels up to 4.5 in. in diameter using the dry compaction or slurry boring method of drilling. Speeds of 8 ft per minute and distances of 200 ft are possible depending on soil conditions. Powered by the hydraulics of the compact tool carrier, the attachment is available in three distinct configurations: attached to the backfill bucket or by means of a quick-attach plate on any full size or compact tool carrier. For more than 85 years McLaughlin has been actively involved in the drilling tool industry. As evidenced by its longevity and success, McLaughlin takes pride in providing workable solutions for OEMs and the underground industry since 1921. The Trench Devil
The Trench Devil is the first ever independently gas powered trenching attachment for the compact tool carrier. This patented trencher was designed as a trenching attachment specifically for the Ditch Witch and Toro compact tool carriers, but will fit almost every skid steer on the market too. The company’s special adapter plate is required to fit the various full-size machines. This unit offers you the most powerful trenching attachment ever built for compact tool carriers, says the company. The Trench Devil turns its chain at just under 600 fpm, three times as fast as the hydraulic trenching attachments. It easily cuts 6-in. wide trenches up to 4 ft deep. Coupled with your skid steer, Trench Devil will dig up distances of 400 ft in 45 minutes. It rips rocks up to 200 lbs out of the ground like they were pebbles.
