OTR Debuts Prowler Utility Vehicle Tire for Turf and Hard Surfaces

OTR Engineered Solutions has expanded its Prowler tire line with a new 25×10-12 size designed for modern utility vehicles (UTVs). This tire brings together turf protection, quiet ride quality and hard-surface durability — a rare mix for operators who need versatility. From the press release:
“The new 25×10-12 PROWLER tire is a game-changer for customers who rely on their UTVs in commercial settings,” said Steve Jensen, VP Aftermarket at OTR. “Whether it’s a college campus, golf course, resort, or industrial park, this tire offers the durability and comfort operators need — on both grass and pavement.”
Built for UTVs in Mixed Environments

The new prowler works well on asphalt, concrete, gravel and grass. Applications range from commercial golf carts to municipal UTVs to resort fleets.
Key features include:
- Proprietary tread pattern with V-shaped shoulder lugs and sipes for grip, cornering and self-cleaning
- Solid center tread element to cut road noise and improve wear life on pavement
- 6-ply rating for load capacity and puncture resistance when hauling heavy gear
This balance of traction and durability makes the tire an option for both soft turf and harder urban surfaces.
Sizing and Specs
The new 25×10-12 prowler joins OTR’s existing lineup of all-terrain tires. With a wide footprint and reinforced carcass, it supports the higher weights and speeds common in today’s UTVs. Operators will find the tire useful for mixed-use fleets that move from campus lawns to parking lots in the same shift.
Finding the Right Fit
OTR also offers tracks for machines like mini excavators. The company even added a cool Tracks Selection Tool on its website. The tool narrows options based on equipment make, model and application. For buyers who prefer local support, OTR’s Dealer Locator makes it easy to find nearby authorized retailers with the right inventory.
Preparing Your UTV for Winter Work
Tires are only one piece of the puzzle. As colder months approach, many contractors begin outfitting their UTVs for snow removal, deicing and winter transport. Attachments like plows and spreaders, as well as cab upgrades, extend utility into the toughest conditions. Next read our recent article on how to prepare your UTV for winter work.
