Historical Construction Equipment Association Announces 2011 Convention and Old Equipment Expo

The Historical Construction Equipment Association (HCEA) is holding its 26th Annual International Convention and Old Equipment Exposition at the I & I Tractor Club show grounds in Penfield, Ill., July 8th through 10th, 2011.

The show features demonstrations and displays of horse-drawn, gas and diesel-powered antique construction machinery, cable and hydraulic shovels and cranes, hit and miss engines, antique trucks and tractors and displays by the Quonset Air Museum and the Navy Seabees Museum. It is open to the general public, and everyone involved with the construction, mining and dredging equipment is especially encouraged to attend, so they can observe the ancestors of today’s machinery in action.

Show hours are: Friday, 9:00 a.m. to dusk; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission per person 12 and over is $10.00 daily or $25.00 for a weekend pass.

HCEA was founded in 1985 and has over 4,300 members in 25 countries. In addition to its magazine and hosting an annual working exhibition of restored construction equipment, it operates the National Construction Equipment Museum and archives in Bowling Green, Ohio.
