Last week John Deere had a big construction presence at the 2019 John Deere Classic (a golf tourney in Silvis, Ill.). The company’s Construction and Forestry equipment stole the show with special golf-themed installations throughout the course. Enjoy these photos
17G Mini-Excavator Putter
- A 17G Compact Excavator transformed into a giant playable putter for fan interaction
- John Deere collaborated with leading golf brands PING and Bridgestone to bring the putter head and golf ball to life, respectively
- Putter weighs 151 lbs.
- Located to the right of Equipment Hill at TPC Deere Run
- Open for fans to try during the tournament between 10am – 4pm from Thursday, July 11 – Sunday, July 14
953M Tracked Feller Buncher Pin Flag Holder
- A 953M Tracked Feller Buncher grasps an oversized flagpole (40’ tall) and displays a larger-than-life John Deere Classic flag
- The flag proudly soars in the wind near the front entrance of the course, just off the main drive of Colona Road
470G LC Excavator with Driver Head
- Used to dig trenches for cross-country pipelines, load mass quantities of dirt into trucks on road building jobs, and load rock in quarries
- Turned into a giant driver display with a golf ball at 20” in diameter, scaled up using exact geometry from Bridgestone golf balls
- A photo-op fan favorite from the 2018 John Deere Classic
