Hamm recently launched two new compact tandem rollers: the HD 10 G VV and the HD 12 G VV. The 2.5- to 2.7-metric-tonne machines are currently available in France with other markets set to follow. They offer operators a compact solution for the construction of roads and pathways, as well as in gardening and landscaping tasks.

According to the press release, the new tandem rollers boast compact proportions, excellent handling and powerful compaction force. Hamm said the machines’ 3-point articulation delivers exceptional handling by ensuring high driving stability and even weight distribution on both axles.

From the press release:

In asphalt construction, this results in level surfaces without undulation formation, and a high level of safety against overturning when cornering. The large drum diameter is also instrumental in ensuring top-quality compaction, as it effectively prevents the uneven distribution of the material.

Ready for Rental

Hamm emphasized that both models are ideal for the rental sector thanks to their uncomplicated operation. The company said that operators can feel confident handling the machines no matter their skill level. Both models provide an ergonomic design, as well as excellent visibility and a driver’s seat that’s easily adjusted to the size and weight of the operator.

Maintenance is made easy with all service points being readily accessible at all times. The rollers are powered by a 18.2-kW Yanmar engine. As for transporting the machines from site to site, Hamm designed the machines with multiple tie-down points and a central suspension point for fast and hassle-free loading. All these features make the rollers attractive to the rental sector.

Options

Hamm said there are various configuration options available on the new models, including:

  • powerful LED work lighting
  • an anti-freeze filling system
  • a back-up alarm
  • the option to connect to the John Deere Operations Center
  • an automatic engine-off function
