Video: Kubota Grand L6070 Utility Tractor Walkaround

Join Compact Equipment for a close look at Kubota’s new Grand L6070 compact utility tractor. We filmed this Machine Heads walkaround with product manager Austin Crawford at Kubota’s 2025 Dealer Meeting in Grapevine, Texas. Hit play to see the tractor up close, then dive into the highlights below. The video tours key updates on the premium L6070 model — lighting, cab, tires and the new five-mode iHST. It’s a fast way to see what changed and how it helps on real jobs. Watch first, then skim the notes here. The L6070 sits at the top of Kubota’s Grand L70 Series. It pairs a turbocharged diesel with an intelligent hydrostatic transmission and a refreshed loader package. The model targets acreage owners, landscape crews and municipal fleets that want precise control in a compact footprint.

Kubota redesigned the cab with a glass-first approach. Just enjoy that photo above. Pillars slim down and sightlines open up to the loader corners and three-point hitch. The flat floor and wide doors ease entry. HVAC airflow increases for faster defog and steady temps through long shifts. Storage adds small but useful touches for phones, paperwork and cups. The iHST turns a familiar 3-range HST into a smarter drive. The L6070 offers five user-selectable modes — Loader, Cutter, Road, Snow and Custom — so operators can match pedal feel and performance to the task. Hydro-Dual Speed lets you shift between high and low within each range without stopping. Optional front and rear cameras integrate through the fancy new K-Command display. The front view helps when forks or a bucket edge disappear under the loader. The rear view speeds implement hookups and adds confidence in tight lots. The system can auto-switch views when you change direction.

Loader, Lighting, Tires and Cold Weather Configurations

Kubota matches the Grand L70 chassis with performance-matched loaders and a cleaner hose layout under the boom. A dual-function valve allows lift and curl at once. A third-function option runs grapples or angle blades. Mechanical self-leveling is available and worth a look if you handle pallets, forks or hay. Integrated stands allow toolless loader removal for service or task swaps. LED work lights improve early morning and dusk jobs. Tire choices span R1, R4 and turf styles to match soil, pavement or greens. A cold-weather configuration adds heated glass, rear LEDs, a rear wiper and factory rear remotes for snow implements. For winter routes or long plow shifts, those upgrades reduce fatigue and downtime.

Rear PTO runs at 540 rpm with a mid-PTO available where specified. The Category 1 three-point offers solid lift ratings for mowers, blades and snow tools. Combined hydraulic flow supports smooth steering and loader response. Up to three rear remotes can be spec’d, with two standard on cold-weather builds.
