Case IH and New Holland Showcase New Tractors at World Ag Expo and National Farm Machinery Show

This week, Case IH and New Holland highlighted new tractor series at two events: the 2025 World Ag Expo and the National Farm Machinery Show. Let’s take a deeper dive into these new machines.
Case IH Farmall C Series
Case IH recently introduced the latest iteration of the Farmall C Series, building upon the legacy of the popular Farmall tractor while elevating performance, comfort and power. The series — which is on display this week at both shows — was designed to meet the varied needs of farmers, ranchers and rural communities across the country.
From the press release:
“Today’s farmers need equipment that can handle the increased and varying demands of their operations,” said Leo Bose, customer segmentation lead at Case IH. “The upgrades to the Farmall C lineup give farmers just that – the flexibility and heavy-duty performance to complete a wide range of on-farm and in-field tasks.”
There are two transmission options available for the Farmall C Series — the 12-speed PowerShuttle transmission and the 24-speed Hi-Lo transmission. According to Case IH, these options cater to varied operational needs, while offering factory-installed technology to drive on-farm efficiencies. Both transmission options come with fully integrated base telematics to geo-locate the tractor and monitor the machine for service.
Available for the Farmall 90C, 100C, 110C and 120C tractors, the 24-speed Hi-Lo transmission offers a new cab suspension for a smooth ride and increased comfort. An auto PTO function automatically engages and disengages the PTO, which provides seamless headland management. Additional features include an advanced loader joystick to simultaneously lift and shuttle control for fast material handling with an engine speed memory button.
The 12-speed PowerShuttle transmission is available on Farmall 100C, 110C and 120C tractors.
Other features of the Farmall C include:
- a larger, reinforced front axle
- boosted hydraulic flow
- heavier gross vehicle weight
- increased rear lift capacity
“The new Farmall C not only offers heavy-duty performance and maneuverability, it delivers an improved operator experience,” said Bose. “With the new ActiveClutch II brake to clutch feature, greater visibility and the new L635 loader, operators can enjoy significantly increased comfort and reduced fatigue.”
New Holland PowerStar Series
The next generation of New Holland’s PowerStar Series offers powerful utility along with sleek new styling outside, greater comfort inside and a wide array of productivity-enhancing features.
From the press release:
“These new PowerStar tractors elevate the expectations of what a utility tractor is capable of,” said Lena Patton, North American product marketing manager, New Holland. “From the outside, noticeable upgrades include a new hood with Connective Flow styling along with new LU Series front loaders and bigger tires. Inside the VisionView cab, operators will find greater productivity with a new seat, digital instrument cluster, super-high visibility panel and loader joystick.”
All four PowerStar models — the 90, 100, 110 and 120 — feature a powerful, fuel-efficient FPT Industrial 3.6-liter four-cylinder engine. The series complies with Stage V emissions standards, which reduces particulate matter by 40 percent compared to Tier 4B. These tractors also feature a 3.4-gal DEF tank and use Compact HI-eSCR 2 technology. New Holland says this technology results in higher torque, an increase of up to five horsepower and greater efficiency.
“We know our customers are seeking solutions that help them reduce their fuel costs,” said Patton. “While these engines still utilize common rail fuel injection technology like our previous models, we’ve also improved performance and optimized fuel consumption further with a longer stroke and more displacement.”
There are two transmission options for the PowerStar lineup. The 12×12 transmission option with a column-mounted electronic power shuttle is available on the three largest models (the 100, 110 and 120). New Holland’s 24×24 Dual Command transmission is available as an option on all four models. The company says the Dual Command transmission features the same electronic power shuttle but provides a Hi-Lo speed in each of the four gears.
“With the push of a button on the side of the gearshift handle, operators can quickly reduce or increase their speed,” added Patton. “This makes a Dual Command transmission ideal in adverse field or crop conditions, especially with PTO-driven implements.”
According to the company’s press release, a PowerClutch button has been placed on the back of the handle for added convenience. This allows operators to shift the gearshift lever without having to use the clutch pedal.
Both transmission options boast a new feature called Dynamic Start-Stop or “brake-to-clutch.” This is included to help reduce operator fatigue during jobs that require frequent stops. When using this particular feature, operators simply need to press the brake pedal to stop the tractor and then release it to start driving again.
LU Series Loaders and the VisionView Cab
Two other perks of the PowerStar Series include the new LU Series front loaders and the VisionView cab. When looking at the all-new, factory-installed LU Series front loaders, operators have two options. There’s the non-self-leveling 650LU that’s perfect for standard-duty applications, or the mechanical-self-leveling 655LU for greater lift capacity.
The tractors can be equipped with a skid-steer-style or Euro-style quick-attach faceplate with a third function diverter valve to run attachments, like grapple buckets. A soft ride system helps to absorb shocks to reduce fatigue on both the operator and tractor.
The models in the PowerStar Series are built with the VisionView cab. Operators can enjoy these productivity-enhancing features:
- a new air suspension seat;
- a new digital instrument cluster that provides greater insight into operating parameters and settings;
- a new super-high visibility panel that’s directly overhead to offer outstanding visibility when the loader is raised to full height; and
- a Comfort Ride cab suspension can be added to Dual Command models for a 25 percent reduction in shock loads that can reach the operator.
