Yanmar Compact Track Loaders Summarized — 2017 Spec Guide

Yanmar Track Loader

Two Machines That Come with Auto Track Tensioning and Anti-Stall

Since its inception in 1912, Yanmar’s core business has been the production of engines. Following the introduction of the walk-behind dozer in 1967, Yanmar understood the need for even more versatile compact construction machinery and introduced the first mini excavator in 1968. After years of success with track technology and mini excavators, Yanmar added a lineup of skid steers and compact track loaders.

The Yanmar T175-1 compact track loader is equipped with a 68.4-hp Yanmar diesel engine, rated operating capacity of 1,750 lbs, 127.5-in. height to hinge pin, 18.5 gpm of auxiliary hydraulic flow and a bucket breakout force of 5,189 lbf. This gives contractors the ability to complete a job when the conditions are harsh. The T175-1 touts best-in-class ground speed, tractive effort, bucket dump height and bucket reach, says Yanmar, setting itself apart from other competitors.

The Yanmar T210-1 compact track loader is engineered with a 70.7-hp Yanmar diesel engine, rated operating capacity of 2,100 lbs, 128-in. height to hinge pin, 21.8-gpm auxiliary hydraulic flow and a bucket breakout force of 5,492 lbf. The T210-1 also gives best-in-class tractive effort, bucket dump height and bucket reach, says Yanmar.

Contractors can never have too much power or too much fuel efficiency. Yanmar’s Tier 4 Final naturally aspirated diesel engines aim to give operators both. These engines deliver big power to lift heavy loads along with the fuel-sipping savings businesses demand, says Yanmar. Cab ergonomics allow operators to have visibility and comfort. The standard 5×5 drive control system offers five presets that change joystick sensitivity, position reaction, engine response, anti-stall and pump swash plate position to suit operator preferences and application requirements.

Professionals can’t get much work done if they have to constantly stop and adjust the tension on the tracks. That’s why Yanmar’s Automatic Track Tensioning System does it for them. The system starts before work begins and continually adjusts while operators grade, haul or do any of the hundreds of other applications contractors need to get done.

The company’s Anti-Stall system makes sure operators get the power to see a tough job through to the end without interruption. Anti-Stall automatically adjusts the hydrostatic pump, so as drive load increases, maximum engine torque and drive power are maintained.

Advice to Buyers

“Matching the unit’s lifting capacity to the job requirement is extremely important when choosing a compact track loader,” explains Eric Berkhimer, construction equipment product manager for Yanmar. “As operators spend more and more of their day in the track loader, operator comfort features are also growing in importance from air-ride, heated seats to adjustable operator’s station and arm rests to different audio options.”
