Video: A Walkaround Overview of Yanmar’s TL100VS Compact Track Loader
Yanmar Compact Equipment’s compact track loader lineup is now complete — and the TL100VS is its largest, most powerful CTL. In our latest Machine Heads video, we walk around this 100+-hp vertical-lift model with Peter Ovrebo, director of product management at Yanmar CE North America. Yanmar’s Largest and Most Powerful CTL
The TL100VS headlines Yanmar’s new compact track loader range. Weighing in at 10,555 lbs, this machine boasts a rated operating capacity (ROC) of 3,780 lbs at 35 percent of tipping load. The unit runs on a 103.5-hp Yanmar diesel engine that meets Tier 4 Final standards, offering 291 lb-ft of torque and 3.1 liters of displacement.

- Operating weight: 10,555 lbs (open cab)
- Travel speed: Up to 8 mph
- Ground pressure: 4.4 psi
- High-flow hydraulics: Up to 41 gpm at 3,989 psi
The TL100VS rides on a dual torsion axle suspended undercarriage that smooths the ride and boosts material retention.
Operator Focused Design
Inside the cab, the TL100VS features a 7-in. touchscreen display that monitors all key systems and diagnostics. Optional SmartAssist telematics provides real-time machine location, diagnostics and theft alerts. EH Controls include customizable ISO or H pattern joystick settings, return-to-position memory and dual-direction self-leveling.
Comfort and safety options include:
- All-weather cab with heat and A/C
- Mechanical or air-ride suspension seat
- Backup camera and LED lighting
- Roof escape hatch and polycarbonate door option
Built for Jobsite Efficiency
Hydraulic flow is adjustable through the control console, with high- and low-flow circuits for versatile attachment operation. Flat-faced couplers are standard — 1/2-in. for low flow, 3/4-in. for high flow. Efficiency-enhancing features include:
- Dual-speed travel
- Attachment control kit
- Material retention settings like dual direction self leveling and automatic ride control
Serviceability is also streamlined with easy-access panels, a belt-driven fan and a 34-gal fuel tank. DEF capacity is 5 gal.
Yanmar’s Full CTL Line Is Here
The TL100VS joins three other models — the TL65RS, TL75VS and TL80VS — finalizing Yanmar’s North American compact track loader lineup. Horsepower across the range spans from 67 to 103.5, with each model engineered for construction, landscaping and rental markets. All models include several optional efficiency-enhancing features to improve the operator experience and overall productivity. These include a work tool positioner, return-to-position technology, self-leveling, ride control and auto two-speed capabilities. All four CTLs also share common design traits:
- Construction-grade durability
- SmartAssist-ready systems
- Tier 4 Final Yanmar diesel engines
- Suspended undercarriages for a smoother ride
