Kubota Track Loaders — 2016 Spec Guide

Raising Its Compact Track Loader Game: Introducing the New SVL95-2s

Kubota Tractor Corp. began marketing in the United States in 1972, with an initial introduction of a 12-hp compact tractor. Since then the company has greatly expanded its product offerings, joining the compact track loader market in 2010 with the introduction of 75- and 90-hp models, the Kubota SVL75 and SVL90. Today, Kubota offers the enhanced SVL75-2 and, new for 2016, the SVL95-2s.

The new model offers greater multi-tasking capabilities, more powerful hydraulics and more class-leading comfort upgrades than ever before. At the heart of the SVL95-2s is a new, more powerful high-flow hydraulic system via an in-cab control. Five hydraulic presets are ideal for jobs that require running more than a single attachment. The system can be programmed and instantly adjusted at the push of a button to adjust flow rates from as little as 5 to as much as 40 gpm — a 19-percent improvement over previous models. With line pressures of 3,553 psi, the hydraulic horsepower gains on the high-flow model are significant.

Multitasking has also gotten better. Operators can utilize all three hydraulic circuits in parallel. They can control the loader and the bucket circuits, as well as an auxiliary device such as an auger or drill, simultaneously, without sacrificing performance. With bucket breakout force of 7,961 lbs and a unique vertical lift designed to deliver a long reach of 40.7 in., the SVL95-2s provides outstanding performance and productivity and will prove to be an accomplished and versatile workhorse on a variety of jobsites, says Kubota.

Powering the SVL95-2s is a turbocharged, liquid-cooled, four-cylinder diesel engine with a common rail system (CRS). In tandem with exhaust gas recirculation (EGR), a diesel particulate filter (DPF) and a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system, the CRS enables the engine to produce 96.4 gross hp while adhering to Tier 4 Final emissions standards. The engine’s performance is matched by its fuel economy; with a 28.8-gal fuel tank and a 5-gal diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank, the SVL95-2s can run a full eight- to 10-hour workday without needing to refuel and a four- to five-day workweek before a DEF tank refill is needed.

Inside the cab, the SVL95-2s offers a plethora of new comfort and convenience features, including push-button control for the optional high-flow hydraulics and a high-back suspension seat that provides enhanced support while minimizing fatigue on long workdays. A wider entrance makes entering and exiting the cab easier, and the hand/dial throttle control is optimal for jobs where constant engine speeds are necessary, such as when trenching or snow blowing. The interior of the SVL95-2s, when ordered with a cab enclosure, also comes radio-ready — pre-wired from the factory and equipped with an antenna, speakers and mounting bracket. In addition, the unit is 6 in. longer, moving the radiator fan further back to the rear of the vehicle, greatly reducing interior noise.

Advice to Buyers

“When purchasing a compact track loader, take into consideration the machine’s design, expanded attachment options and the capability to use multiple attachments simultaneously,” says Jorge De Hoyos, Kubota senior product manager, skid steers and compact track loaders. “In today’s marketplace, contractors are often looking for ways to do more work with fewer machines in an attempt to keep overhead costs down and productivity up.”
