A New Lineup with a Powerful 90-hp Machine
The Case B Series compact track loader lineup — manufactured in Wichita, Kan. — includes five models: the TR270B (radial), TR310B (radial), TR340B (radial), TV370B (vertical) and TV450B (vertical). According to Case, the new models feature best-in-class torque, breakout force and standard auxiliary hydraulic flow (depending on model), as well as one of the industry’s widest cabs with 360-degree visibility.
Highlights of the product line include the new TV450B, which weighs 10,610 lbs with a rated operating capacity (ROC) of 4,500 lbs and a bucket breakout force of 9,188 lbs. The machine is rated at 90 gross hp, produces 282 ft-lbs of torque and features increased hydraulic flow rates (standard — 24.2 gpm; optional high-flow — 39.5 gpm).
New Case B Series loaders feature a completely redesigned operator interface, including new left- and right-hand posts (all models) with simple ignition, push-button start, easy throttle control and intuitive switches for all core machine functions. Contractors may choose between standard mechanical, mechanical hand-and-foot and electro-hydraulic controls when specifying a machine. An all-new 8-in. LCD multi-function display with backup camera comes with all electro-hydraulic models — and it can be added to mechanical configurations for use with the backup camera and operational displays (but without the electro-hydraulic control capabilities). Electro-hydraulic models provide the additional simplicity of switching between ISO and H operating patterns with the simple push of a button.
The new 8-in. LCD multi-function display serves as the command center for the machine. It includes the industry’s only backup camera visible in a split screen display with machine data. The camera is operational in both forward and reverse and enhances the B Series’ industry-leading visibility with even greater jobsite perspective and awareness. It also provides operators with the most fully functioned operator experience ever found in a Case compact track loader.
Easy access to the engine, filters and fill points simplifies maintenance on Case compact track loaders, with all daily service points and filters located at the rear of the machine for quick access. Easy-tilt cabs provide convenient entry to the drivetrain compartment, and hydraulic quick-couplers allow operators to quickly change attachments from the comfort of the cab.
Advice to Buyers
“Counter-rotation, or pivot turns, cause accelerated wear and increase the potential for de-tracking of rubber-tracked machines — operators should take more wide, gradual turns whenever possible,” says George MacIntyre, product marketing manager, Case Construction Equipment. “Constant operation on a slope or hill in one direction can accelerate wear to idlers, rollers and guide lugs by placing greater forces on one side. Be sure to remind operators to try and travel straight up or down a slope when possible. Turns are best performed on level ground, but we understand that some jobs require work on slopes and hillsides.”
