From AI-powered blueprints to laser-projected jobsite layouts, construction tech startups are rethinking how projects get built. Trimble is honoring some of these progressive thinkers by recently picking 16 of them as finalists in its 2025 0-60 Challenge, setting the stage for a showdown at the Dimensions User Conference this November in Las Vegas. From the press release:

“Startups and smaller companies often lack the market reach and established connections needed to fully succeed in today’s competitive landscape,” said Chris Peppler, vice president of platform and product at Trimble. “The Trimble 0-60 Challenge helps bridge this gap by providing entrepreneurs with the tools, expertise and support to more effectively build and market their solutions. We are proud to support these companies and help amplify their impact across the industry.”

Three Competition Categories

The finalists fall into three groups: Connected Data, Connected Design and Connected Field or Jobsite. Each team integrates with platforms such as Trimble Connect, ProjectSight, SketchUp and Tekla.

  • Connected Data: Datagrid, Genda Inc, Join, Kamai, Permio and TestFit
  • Connected Design: Kestrel Labs, KOPE AI, NavLive, Qonic, Qubu, SWAPP and Ulama
  • Connected Field or Jobsite: Now Vision, Sensori and Mechasys

Over 12 weeks, the startups will refine their products with Trimble’s support. The competition will conclude with a live Demo Day at the Trimble Dimensions User Conference in Las Vegas, November 10-12, 2025.

Some Examples of These Finalists

Several startups highlight the growing role of artificial intelligence and precision tools in construction.

  • Kamai: An AI co-pilot for blueprint analysis and takeoffs. It detects, measures and labels project spaces in seconds, cutting down hours of manual work. The company even features a skid steer in its branding.
  • Datagrid: A platform that enriches datasets with AI tools, automating follow-ups and task execution to improve data flow in construction workflows.
  • Mechasys: A developer of Projected Reality systems. Its robotic laser projectors display blueprints at 1:1 scale on surfaces, helping crews build with millimetric accuracy.
  • Kestrel Labs: A BIM-integrated assistant that checks code compliance. It identifies issues early, offers fixes and reduces approval delays for architects.

Demo Day at Dimensions

The 0-60 Challenge finalists will showcase their products during Demo Day on November 11. Winners will earn cash prizes and a spot on the Trimble Marketplace, where verified integrations are available to customers worldwide.

Inside the Dimensions User Conference

Trimble Dimensions

The Dimensions User Conference runs November 10-12 at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas. The event draws contractors, engineers and technology leaders for training and product exploration.

Highlights include:

  • Keynote sessions on industry innovation
  • Hundreds of breakouts covering construction workflows, design tools and jobsite technology
  • Expo hall with live demos and networking opportunities
  • Startup pitch events including the Cemex Construction Startup Competition and the Trimble 0-60 Challenge
  • Customer appreciation party closing out the conference on November 12

Trimble positions Dimensions as its largest user event, bringing together professionals focused on connected construction. For compact equipment contractors, the show offers insight into the software and integrations shaping the machines and workflows on future jobsites. These startups are proof of that.
