Rubber track crawler manufacturer Terramac has announced the addition of Meridian, Idaho-based Western States Cat to its group of North American product dealers.

The deal marks the first Caterpillar dealer to represent the Terramac product line, according to officials. Under the new collaboration, Western States Cat will provide Terramac products across the entirety of the American Northwest, and supply the regional customer base with “versatile, high-quality solutions for challenging terrains.”

Matt Slater, president of Terramac, touted the company’s heavy equipment expertise and deep understanding of the American carrier market.

“We are thrilled to welcome Western States Cat to our network,” Slater says. “Their reputation for excellence and their specialized knowledge of the carrier market make them an ideal partner. We look forward to the shared success of our dedicated teams as we bring American-made innovation to more jobsites in the West.”

Western States Cat chose to represent Terramac independently, the company says, thanks to its strong brand recognition in the U.S. The company develops its carrier products specifically for the American market and its strongest industrial sectors, including pipelines, utilities, mining, and general construction.

Steve Huling, heavy rents operations manager at Western States Cat, says his company is excited to join the ranks of Terramac’s dealer network. The firm will be able to introduce “industry-leading” products to its customers thanks to the partnership, he adds.

“As the first Cat dealer to represent the brand, we recognize that Terramac sets the standard for crawler carriers and we admire their commitment to ‘Made in the USA’ quality,” Huling says. “Since we have a diverse customer base across many industries their ability to provide specialized solutions will help our customers succeed in some of their most challenging environments.”

Under the new agreement, Western States Cat will carry a variety of Terramac models, including its straight frame, 360-rotating, and purpose-built product models. Additionally, Terramac’s crawler carriers can be customized with support equipment for various project requirements.

“Customers in the Western territory can now access Terramac sales, parts, and service through one of Western States Cat’s 21 established locations across Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Washington, or Wyoming,” the company says.
