Ritchie Bros. Hosts Gov. Joe Lombardo at CONEXPO, Showcases Nevada Presence

Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers had a special visitor at its CONEXPO-CON/AGG booth. The company hosted Nevada Gov. Joe Lombardo at the mega trade show in Las Vegas. During the visit, Ritchie Bros. discussed its presence in the state and highlighted its portfolio of marketplaces which includes its Las Vegas auction yard, GovPlanet and IAA. RB Global’s footprint continues to grow across Nevada, with more than 75 full-time employees and a range of contractors and seasonal team members.
“Nevada plays an important role in connecting equipment, vehicles and other commercial assets to buyers around the world,” said Jim Kessler. “With multiple facilities and teams across the state, we’re proud to support local jobs and the local community while helping businesses and government agencies buy and sell critical assets more efficiently.”
Ritchie Bros. Las Vegas Auction Yard
Opened in 2012, the facility spans approximately 100-acres and includes a 33,000-sq-ft main building and a refurbishment center. It supports both in-person and online auctions for heavy equipment, trucks and other commercial assets.
GovPlanet North Las Vegas Facility
Since 2018, GovPlanet — a leading online marketplace for surplus government and military assets — has operated a logistics and processing center in North Las Vegas. According to the press release, GovPlanet works with local, state and federal agencies, including the United States Department of Defense, to remarket surplus rolling stock and other assets. This facility also receives freight from Defense Logistics Agency locations, including Nellis Air Force Base in southern Nevada.
IAA’s Nevada Operations
IAA’s operations in Nevada includes multiple facilities across the state. Its Las Vegas branch covers approximately 40 acres, including a branch office and title service center. This branch also processes vehicles remarketed on behalf of the U.S. General Services Administration and includes public vehicle sales.
