Kubota Tractor Corporation is no stranger to giving back. The company’s Kubota Hometown Proud grant program — now in its fifth year — is currently accepting applications for nonprofit community projects that could benefit from the use of Kubota equipment. This grant program furthers supports Kubota’s longstanding commitment to strengthen communities and support local customers and dealers.

“We are thrilled to reach the fifth anniversary of the Kubota Hometown Proud grant program which has awarded $2 million in grants that directly benefited communities across the country,” said Todd Stucke, president, Kubota Tractor Corporation. “Kubota is committed to partnering with local Kubota dealerships and investing in local hometowns. From coast to coast, Kubota has helped fund community projects that are the most meaningful and impactful to those who are spearheading them locally. We look forward to seeing how this year’s grants, along with our equipment, continue this tradition.”

According to Kubota’s press release, nonprofits with current projects — from rodeo arena renovations to parks and trails to community gardens and spaces — are encouraged to apply through May 9 for a chance to receive a grant valued at $50,000. The grant’s value includes $25,000 in cash, plus a $25,000 Kubota equipment voucher for 10 recipients — one from each of Kubota’s 10 operating districts across the country.

Here are more details on how to enter from Kubota:

Any authorized employee or officer with the authority to act on behalf of the registered 501(c)(3) organization can enter.

Kubota’s nationwide footprint includes 1,100 dealers who take immense pride in supporting the communities in which they live and work. The Kubota Hometown Proud grant program provides local dealers with the opportunity to engage with their communities through projects that make an impact for their neighbors. The program is open to nonprofits with a community project that is located within a 50-mile radius of an authorized Kubota dealer. All types of community projects where Kubota equipment can be used are welcome to apply. Past applicants and grant recipients have included community gardens, public spaces, youth sports fields, agriculture education programs, food banks and more.

The application period closes on Friday, May 9. After that, Kubota will review all of the applications and select 10 winners — one from each of the company’s 10 operating districts. The company noted that organizations who have entered before can enter again. Previous winners are not eligible.

The excitement doesn’t stop there. Kubota added that consumers nationwide will have their own opportunity to participate in the Kubota Hometown Proud grant program. This involves a sweepstakes launching on May 10, where they can enter themselves for a chance to win either a Kubota zero-turn mower or a BX tractor.
