Congressman Gibbs Visits Minnich Mfg. for AEM ‘I Make America’ Event
Congressman Bob Gibbs visited Mansfield, Ohio, equipment manufacturer Minnich Mfg. on Tuesday, May 1, to meet with employees and speak about how ongoing policy deliberations in Congress affect local manufacturers.
Gibbs met with Minnich executives and employees during an I Make America event at the company. I Make America is the national grassroots campaign of the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), the trade association representing manufacturers of off-road heavy equipment, of which Minnich Manufacturing is a member.
“America’s economy is driven by manufacturers and the products they create,” Gibbs said. “Our nation’s infrastructure relies on innovative companies focused on solutions for their customers, like Minnich and the equipment they manufacture.
“Businesses like theirs require an enormous amount of capital and risk. That’s why we made sure American companies can immediately write off the expense of purchasing new equipment in the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. I want to congratulate Minnich for celebrating its 50-year anniversary and thank them and the Association of Equipment Manufacturers for the invitation to learn more about their company and the opportunity to meet and speak with Minnich’s employees.”
“We were excited to bring the I Make America campaign to Minnich Manufacturing to salute the jobs supported by this manufacturer and the products they build right here in Mansfield,” AEM President Dennis Slater said. “We are glad that Congressman Gibbs joined Minnich Manufacturing to talk about how we can work together to support growth and job creation in the equipment manufacturing industry.”
“Minnich Manufacturing was honored to host Congressman Bob Gibbs and the I Make America campaign here at our facility,” said Rob Minnich, vice president of marketing at Minnich Manufacturing. “This was a tremendous opportunity to recognize our workforce for the contributions they make to our economy, and to learn about how public policy issues affect our business.”
