Caterpillar Announces the Cat Fleet Bucket Program

Caterpillar recently launched its Cat Fleet Bucket Program. This new program allows customers to benefit from Cat ground engaging tools (GET) even on third-party buckets. According to the press release, a new or rebuilt bucket — whether it’s a Cat bucket or other brand — can now be equipped with Cat GET, available in multiple designs to meet the needs of specific applications.
“We recognize some customers have their bucket needs served locally by third-party bucket manufacturers,” said Atif Hassan, Fleet Bucket Program manager at Caterpillar. “Our program is about Caterpillar meeting GET needs of the customer through their preferred channel. When a bucket is rebuilt or replaced, customers will continue to benefit from the same Cat GET that comes pre-fitted on Cat buckets purchased with a new Cat machine, even if the replacement bucket is not from Caterpillar. Plus, the GET is backed by a Cat limited warranty and receives unparalleled parts availability through the global Cat dealer network.”
The company said the Cat Fleet Bucket Program is available to meet a wide range of machine bucket needs. These needs include those for compact, wheeled and backhoe loaders, excavators, hydraulic mining shovels and rope shovels.
More from the press release:
Caterpillar and the Cat dealer work with hundreds of local bucket manufacturers globally to offer GET options to fit their customized bucket designs. This enables customers with mixed fleets to standardize on Cat GET to help increase wear life, decrease downtime and even increase productivity.
With Cat machines working worldwide, Caterpillar offers a GET option for virtually any application. With flexible offerings to fit the local bucket manufacturer designs, customers can choose from thousands of Cat GET products that include adapters, tips, cutting edges and side protectors to fit their work tool needs.
Backed by Support

The company pointed out various ways Cat GET is supported by its dealers. Here’s what Caterpillar shared in the press release:
- Cat GET is backed by 12-month Caterpillar Limited and unlimited breakage warranties and the global Cat dealer network. However, if a customer has an issue outside of this time, they can contact a local dealer to receive support.
- The GET is eligible for a Cat Customer Value Agreement (CVA). This brings together the dealer and easy parts acquisition for hassle-free ownership. Caterpillar explained that these agreements can be tailored to fit the customer’s needs with a range of options.
- The company added that Cat dealers can also set up customer fleets with the Bucket Pro App. This allows dealers to monitor GET wear to help plan maintenance, manage inventory and identify the best GET solutions. The app also provides customers with instant on-site inspection reports.
