Black Splitter multipurpose excavator attachment and screening basket

The German manufacturer Black Splitter, headquartered in north Hessen, recently demonstrated its newest innovations with great success at the Forst Live trade show in Offenburg, Germany. These new devices (also available in America) include the Black Splitter Prototype SG3 as well as the screening basket, which can be mounted on all Black Splitter hydraulic attachments.

As a multipurpose excavator attachment, the Black Splitter Prototype SG3 boasts three functions: wood splitting, material grabbing and rotating. All three attachment functions can be operated by two control circuits. For that matter, the attachment switches automatically to the desired functions. Furthermore, the 245 mm dia. wood-splitting cone can be conveniently removed for tasks involving material demolition, handling, placement and sorting. In fact, all Black Splitter accessory devices such as augers, stump planers, steel brooms and the new Screening Basket can be affixed to and operated by the Black Splitter Prototype SG3 in place of its standard wood-splitting cone assembly.

The new Black Splitter steel screening basket, which is intended primarily for gardeners and landscapers, makes it possible to sift undesirable elements from topsoil. It is also possible to use the screening basket to wash screened coarse gravel. The solid connection of the screening basket to a supporting Black Splitter hydraulic attachment is made possible by a robust bolted assembly and strong shaft bearings.
