Twice Is Nice for Winners of Case IH Scout Utility Vehicles

The four-wheel drive Scout utility vehicle is sold exclusively through Case IH dealerships. Available in two models, the Scout and Scout XL offer plenty of power, accessories and premium features to get more done in less time. For a pair of good friends at Nebraska Equipment, good things came in pairs this spring. In April, Case IH and its product support group, CNH Parts & Service, awarded both salesmen Kenny Pekarek of Nebraska Equipment in Seward, Neb., and longtime Nebraska equipment customer Pat Mullally new 2010 Case IH Scout utility vehicles valued at more than $10,000 apiece, as the winner of separate Case IH giveaways.

“I was very surprised,” said Mullally, who farms 2,300 acres of soybeans and corn. “And to be the only winner in North America, well, that’s pretty unbelievable. [The Scout] will really be handy with irrigation and just getting around. We can just throw some tools in the back and go. I’m sure the kids will love it, too, taking it down to the pond.”

The promotion that Mullally won, entitled “Money Well Spent,” encouraged customers to schedule year-end maintenance inspections and use genuine Case IH parts to prepare their equipment for peak performance in the upcoming farm season. By scheduling a qualifying machine inspection before December 31, 2009, Case IH customers, including Mullally, were automatically entered to win the two-passenger, 14-hp, gasoline-powered, mid-size Case IH Scout.

Out of more than 1,000 Case IH dealerships throughout North America, Mullally, of Utica, Neb., was the sole winner in the “Money Well Spent” giveaway event. Meanwhile, Pekarek was one of just two winners within Nebraska Equipment’s sales territory as part of the “Scout for Prospects” combine sales promotion, which was intended to drive new and used Case IH combine sales from dealer inventory during September and October 2009.

“It’s a big deal,” said Pekarek, who considers Mullally both a close friend and one of Nebraska Equipment’s best customers. “The odds on me winning were nowhere near Pat’s, since he was the only one in the whole country [to win in the ‘Money Well Spent’ promotion]. But I don’t know what the odds were for both of us winning Scouts.”

Pretty good we think.
