The Work Truck Show 2011 Starts Today

The Work Truck Show logo, yo. The Work Truck Show is North America’s largest work truck event, happening this week in Indianapolis. Visits can explore 500,000 sq ft of the newest truck chassis, bodies, equipment and components, choosing from more than 40 training sessions to help improve fleet and shop operations. Attendees can sign up for the popular Green Truck Summit or expanded Fleet Management Symposium and then interact with thousands of industry peers, meeting with suppliers and receiving unprecedented technical and engineering support.

The Work Truck Show 2011 is being held in conjunction with the 47th Annual National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) Convention at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, March 8-10. The Convention, Green Truck Summit and educational programming actually began yesterday.

“If you can attend only one industry event in 2011, make it The Work Truck Show,” says Steve Sill, NTEA convention chairman and president of Aspen Equipment Co. (Bloomington, Minn.). “The Work Truck Show offers four full days of unmatched training, innovative product launches, abundant networking opportunities and specialized equipment that you just won’t find anywhere else.”

The Work Truck Show 2011 fills the recently expanded Indiana Convention Center with Class 1 to 8 trucks, components and equipment from a diverse range of global manufacturers. Dozens of new products, including the hottest new vocational trucks, are launched at the Work Truck Show. In addition to expansive booths displaying their new vehicles, 15 of the leading chassis manufacturers provide detailed updates on what’s new and upcoming with their product lines, including technical information on specifications and installation. These chassis update sessions are scheduled as part of the educational conference March 7 to 9.

Fleet managers are invited to an exclusive Training Session & Networking Luncheon covering “Implementing a Complete Fuel Management Program to Increase Performance and Reduce Costs” on Wednesday, March 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Ticket is required. Some of the other educational sessions designed for fleet managers include: “Developments in Statistical Fleet Analysis,” “Optimizing Work Truck Body and Equipment Specifications,” “How to Maximize Tire Life-Cycles & Minimize Overall Cost,” and “The Implications of Managing an Aging Fleet.” A full course schedule is available at https://www.ntea.com/content.aspx?id=22496.
