The Rental Show Ranks in Top 75 U.S. Trade Shows
The world’s largest rental equipment trade show, The Rental Show, was
recently named to the top 75 trade shows of all industries. According to the
Tradeshow Week 200 — an annual listing of the 200 largest trade shows in the
United States — The Rental Show 2005 in Las Vegas ranks No. 75.
The Las Vegas show was held at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, with more
than 11,000 attendees. Exhibit space was sold out, with 660 companies covering
more than 280,000 net sq ft.
Allison Box, American Rental Association’s (ARA) vice president of
association services, attributes The Rental Show’s continued success to the
unwavering focus on the rental marketplace. “We focus on the diverse needs of
our attendees and the entire rental equipment industry. Unlike other trade
shows, our exhibits always cover all segments of rental equipment —
construction, general tools and party/event.”
Of the exhibit space at the Las Vegas show, 43 percent was dedicated to
general tool and light construction, 32 percent to heavy construction and 25
percent to party/event. In addition to a wide array of product and equipment
displays on the exhibit floor, The Rental Show offers an extensive educational
program, including specialized training in construction and party/events.
“The Rental Show facilitates the $31.1 billion rental equipment industry in
the United States. Based on ARA’s state of the industry projections, all
equipment segments are geared for growth, and The Rental Show continues to be
there to help meet the demand,” Box noted.
The ranking for The Rental Show has increased for the past three years, with
the 2003 show in Anaheim at No. 81 and the 2004 show in Atlanta at No. 77. The
Rental Show 2007 is scheduled for Feb. 7-10, in Atlanta.
