The Professional Grounds Management Society Offers Free Job Postings
Founded in 1911, the Professional Grounds Management Society or PGMS has been dedicated to the advancement of grounds management professions (from university grounds crews to professional sports field management) through education, professional development and now even job hunting.
Today, PGMS announced it was offering free job postings on its Web site, www.pgms.org/jobbank.htm. In an effort to help support those looking for employment in the grounds management field, PGMS will post job postings for free in the job bank section of its Web site for both members and the general public to view.
“In this economy where unemployment is at an all-time high, we recognize there are many professionals looking for work,” said Tom Shaner, PGMS executive director. “PGMS is dedicated to helping grounds professionals to find work and we encourage those who have current job opening to post them on our Web site.”
Anyone interested in posting a job on the PGMS Web site can email the job description to Molly Baldwin, communications assistant at mollybaldwin@assnhqtrs.com. Those looking for job opportunities should do so at their own discretion. PGMS does not guarantee interviews or offers of employment.
