Navistar and its International truck brands supplies heavy-duty commercial work trucks to the construction industry. It’s subsidiary, Navistar Defense, utilizes Navistar’s resources and expertise in commercial trucking (that produces more than 100,000 trucks and 500,000 engines a year) to make military-grade trucks and vehicles for the countries around the world. You don’t often get to see these trucks in American, but you can actually catch one of Navistar Defenses’ vehicles in a recent movie — Fast & Furious 6. It’s driven by Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and was painted blue for the movie.

Navistar Defense provided three vehicles for filming in the United Kingdom. One of those vehicles was onsite at Navistar’s headquarters for employees to experience. It’s called the MXT MVU, and it’s a versatile unarmored vehicle that is highly customizable to meet a variety of specific mission needs. Available in regular, extended and crew cab versions, the MXT-MVU can be configured to accommodate as many as six war fighters in full military gear, as well as an array of weapons, navigation and communications systems.
