Google Puts on Micro-Trench Race to Promote FTTH Awareness (Video)

Our appetite for cellular and internet bandwidth is growing insatiably. To meet the ever-growing demand for digital applications, network service providers are rapidly deploying state-of-the-art fiber networks. Answering the call, utility installers are considering new and cost-effective installation options like micro-trenchin.
This video is of a micro-trench race filmed on Google campus April 16, 2010 — a fun day focused on the latest trenching technologies, innovation and knowledge sharing. Google took into account speed, depth, width, amount of spoils and straightness of the cut. Let’s bring this back in 2011 Google.
