Delo Truck Rolls into MATS
The Delo Truck, a rolling exhibit designed to promote the Delo
product family (an industry leading line of lubricants and coolants) officially
unveiled its interior makeover at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville,
Ky. Since the Delo Truck first took to the road in 1999, it has traveled across
the United States, Mexico and Canada, educating customers and the general public
on the importance and proper use of heavy-duty engine oils, lubricants and
coolants at truck stops, truck dealers, distributors and major trade shows.
“Delo is proud of its leadership role in the lubricants industry,” said
Nicole Fujishige, lubricants marketing manager, Chevron Products Co. “A key
aspect of leadership is being an educator. The Delo Truck and its newly enhanced
interior is one of many ways we educate our customers, and the market in
general, about issues that impact their business and products that can improve
their bottom line.”
The new Delo Truck interior makes visitors feel like they are walking through
a truck lube bay. Workstations resembling tool chests offer visitors information
on gear oils, transmission fluids, greases, coolants and engine oils. Backlit
boards and video screens at each workstation provide additional information
about Delo products and guide visitors through the exhibit.
Other new displays include a diesel particulate filter cutaway, a portable
coolant refractometer, a grease hologram and an interactive quiz area where
visitors can test their lubricant knowledge. The ceiling of the Delo Truck
features the full undercarriage of a 2006 Volvo tractor, highlighting key
lubrication points.
