Cool Tool of the Day: IntelliStick

Contractors are looking to get more out of their machines – and regular preventive maintenance plays a large role in that. There’s a new combatant fighting the good fight against downtime – the IntelliStick Oil Condition Sensor. IntelliStick gives you the intelligence you need to know the condition of your oil. Catastrophic engine failure can cost thousands of dollars in needless repairs, create dissatisfied customers and even result in lost business.

Knowing how hot the engine is running can be a valuable bit of information. Fortunately, the IntelliStick lets you know the engine oil temperature at all times. This report can be downloaded or retrieved via compatible telematics units. The in-cab gauge also displays oil temperature digitally for all three IntelliStick models: quick alert; condition tracker and maintenance mastermind. The IntelliStick includes memory for storage of up to 30 days of data.

When the IntelliStick detects intrusion it instantaneously sends an alarm to the plant network system, or the in-cab gauge and if connected to a compatible telematics system, sends a message to base. This is especially useful when the engine, pump or gearbox is a remote unit or when you have a large number of units to track on a regular basis.
