CatUsed Goes NASCAR Racing
The No. 31 Caterpillar car driven by Jeff Burton will sport a special CatUsed paint scheme during the upcoming race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The new paint job supports the first ever Cat used equipment sale held in conjunction with a NASCAR race.
During Bank of America 500 Week, October 14 -16, more than 30 Cat machines will be on display and available for purchase at the specially designed lot outside turn two of the speedway. Race fans and Cat fans alike are invited to tour the sale, which features a 100-ton-capacity 777D off-highway truck. Additionally, Cat Used Equipment Services and four regional Cat dealers — Carolina Cat, Blanchard Machinery, Carter Machinery and Gregory Poole Equipment — will guide customers in searching the largest inventory of used Cat machines on the Web. Catused.cat.com hosts the entire Cat dealer used equipment inventory of more than 13,000 machines and work tools.
Visitors to the sale also will see a No. 31 Caterpillar show car, and all will receive a collectible holographic card showing the car with its new paint scheme. After 2 of the final 10 races, which constitute the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, Jeff Burton and the No. 31 are in seventh place. A strong second-place finish at the Dover race positions the Caterpillar team well for a run at the championship.
