Cat Auction Services October 27 Auction Set for Houston
The construction folks down in Houston love their equipment. The latest Cat Auction scheduled for Oct. 27 in Houston is the fourth Houston-based auction in the past year-and-a-half. The auction, beginning at 9 a.m. at Houston Raceway Park (2525 FM565 South, Baytown, Texas) will include a broad assortment of heavy equipment — excavators, loaders, compactors and specialty trucks to name a few — from a number of manufacturers.
“Houston is one of our premier auction sites,” said Cat Auction Services president Rick Albin. “We’re excited to be back at Houston Raceway Park. The drag strip is a perfect setting for our innovative Leaderboard display and accommodates our unique auction-theater setup.”
The Houston event is expected to draw bidders from across the United States and around the world to light up the awesome video leaderboard. In addition to its Houston auction earlier this year, Cat Auction Services has recently held auctions in Minneapolis, Minn., and Des Moines, Iowa. Cat Auction Services entered the heavy equipment auction arena in late 2008 and has been active across the country. Reviews from all corners have been positive, and the auctions have drawn buyers from 49 states and nearly three dozen countries.
“We’d love to have everybody on-site in Houston, but we know that’s not possible,” Albin said. “Our online bidding system, along with our video of equipment in action, allows those who cannot make it to the drag strip the chance to interact with the auction in a way that is similar to what our on-site participants experience.”
Interested buyers are invited to view the entire equipment list and detailed TA-1 level inspection reports online prior to the event by visiting www.catauctions.com. Real-time online bidding will be available on the day of the auction through the company’s website.
