Bobcat to Use JAGTAG Mobile 2D Barcodes for Videos at CONEXPO-CON/AGG

The Bobcat JAGTAG barcode. Bobcat Company and JAGTAG, the U.S. leader in mobile 2D barcode advertising, are partnering to offer attendees at CONEXPO-CON/AGG a user-friendly mobile option for accessing the “Bobcat Advantage” competitive machine comparison videos, which Bobcat launched in November. A new group of videos will be launched for the show. Visitors can try out Bobcat’s JAGTAG at CONEXPO-CON/AGG, booth number G-100, March 22–26.

Bobcat is the first industrial equipment manufacturer to work with JAGTAG, which delivers multimedia to both smart phones and standard phones without requiring consumers to download an application. Attendees can use their phones to take and send a picture of the JAGTAG, and immediately receive multimedia content. For “Bobcat Advantage,” users will first receive a preview video that shows a clip of one of the compact excavator competitive comparisons. They can then gain access to the entire library of competitive machine videos for compact excavators, which were launched in November. Additional “Bobcat Advantage” videos will launch for CONEXPO-CON/AGG, and can be accessed as well.

“Mobile marketing isn’t new, but many of the platforms out there just aren’t accessible by everyone,” said Greg Rostberg, Bobcat marketing manager. “With JAGTAG, not only is the barcode itself more attractive, but it’s much easier to use, which makes it fun for attendees that come by the booth and try it out.”

Other JAGTAG clients include Toyota, IBM, Sports Illustrated, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment, T.G.I. Friday’s, Red Bull, Jack Daniel’s and Continental Airlines.

“We’re in good company,” Rostberg said, “because other JAGTAG clients are all leaders in their respective fields.”

JAGTAG’s platform can share video, images, audio and text with three times more mobile consumers than mobile Web-dependent media.

“It’s easy to read a spec sheet or a piece of literature and compare compact excavators on paper,” Rostberg said. “The real test is how the machines perform under load. There is a clear-cut difference that we want to show potential customers, and we feel ‘Bobcat Advantage’ is the best way. When a contractor can access the videos on his mobile phone, the immediacy of the information makes the comparisons that much more beneficial.”
