Airworks Compressors Corp. Wins Innovation Award at WTS 2010

Air power is essential on busy jobsites, places where jackhammers, sand blasters, air nailers, painting systems, pressure washers and welders work to bring a whole subset of jobs into one big finished project. When it comes to portable air power, Airworks Compressors Corp. (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) gives customers innovative options, which is why the company took home the Innovation Award from The Work Truck Show 2010 (North America’s largest work truck event, held in St. Louis, Mo., March 10-12). Attendees at the Show voted the company’s new Twister T100 Hybrid mobile air compressor the most innovative product introduced at the show.

Shown in front of the T100 Hybrid are Darryl Weflen, president, Sheila Stang, marketing, and John Engevik, national account manager. (Left to right)“The Twister T100 Hybrid outperforms other air compressors, providing additional air output and greater versatility with less noise, all in a smaller, lighter package that provides additional fuel and environmental cost savings for customers,” says Darryl Weflen, president. “We are very proud to have our Twister T100 recognized by Work Truck Show attendees as the most innovative product at the show.”

The Twister T100 Hybrid mobile air compressor gives customers a choice of four operating fuels: gasoline, E-85, compressed natural gas (CNG) or propane. It is available with up to 100 cfm of air power, and the flexibility of a dual fuel source at the flip of a switch. It was designed for ease of operation and to greatly reduce fuel costs and emissions, thereby helping to decrease a fleet’s carbon imprint. The T100 Hybrid can stand alone or be truck-mounted. Suitable for any chassis, it reduces the need for engine idling.
