New ES1330M and ES1530M Models Join the Growing Family of Compact, Lightweight Work Platforms

JLG continues its push into compact mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) with the rebranding of its ES1330L and ES1530L scissor lifts. Now dubbed the ES1330M and ES1530M, these micro-sized, electric-powered units bring performance to tight spaces with under-2,000-lb machine weights and maneuverability-focused features. The move builds on the recent launch of JLG’s ES1930M and 1230P models, signaling a clear commitment to small, indoor-friendly MEWPs.

Updated Models: ES1330M and ES1530M

The new ES1330M and ES1530M lifts retain the compact footprint and utility-focused design of their predecessors. They are designed for jobs where traditional scissor lifts can’t go — hospitals, data centers, libraries, retail spaces and fit-out jobs with tight access.

Key Features:

  • Zero Turning Radius: Enables exceptional maneuverability in tight areas
  • Fixed Rails That Fit Through Standard Doorways: Ensures easy access without compromising structural integrity
  • Leak Containment System Now Standard: Helps protect delicate flooring by capturing potential hydraulic leaks with custom-fit trays
  • Lightweight Design: Weighing under 2,000-lb, these lifts can be used across weight-sensitive flooring and fit into freight elevators. This allows trades crews to operate multiple machines in one area at the same time
  • Advanced Onboard Technology: Includes JLG’s exclusive load-sensing system for zero-weight load calibration, variable tilt functionality to maximize the machines’ work envelopes when working on slight slopes and ClearSky Smart Fleet™ IoT (Internet of Things) platform for enhanced machine connectivity and diagnostics

ES1330M Specs

  • Platform Height: 13 ft (indoor/outdoor)
  • Platform Capacity: 500 lb
  • Dimensions: 30 in. wide × 56.2 in. long
  • Weight: 1,984 lbs
  • Occupant Rating: 2 (indoor) / 1 (outdoor)

ES1530M Specs

  • Platform Height: 15 ft (indoor) / 10 ft (outdoor)
  • Platform Capacity: 500 lbs
  • Dimensions: 30 in. wide × 56.2 in. long

  • Occupant Rating: 1 (indoor/outdoor)

Add-On Options

JLG offers several productivity upgrades:

  • Mid-rail deck (coming soon)
  • Hostile environment package
  • Battery display with diagnostic codes
  • SkySense enhanced detection system
  • Lithium-ion battery option

May Launch: ES1930M

JLG ES1930M_Stowed micro scissor lift

In May, JLG announced the ES1930M, its tallest entry yet in the micro scissor category. With an 18-ft, 6-in. platform height and sub-3,000-lb machine weight, this model targets high-reach tasks in floor-sensitive indoor environments.

Highlights:

  • 30-in. width
  • Zero inside turning radius
  • Offset arm stack design reduces sway at height
  • Single lift cylinder simplifies service
  • ClearSky Smart Fleet integration
  • 500-lb platform capacity (2 indoor occupants)

Optional upgrades include a mid-rail deck, 900W inverter and hostile environment kit.

Recent Additions: JLG 1230P

Also in May, JLG announced the 1230P is a push-around lift designed to replace ladders and scaffolding for interior work. It offers a 17-ft, 4-in. working height, 440-lb capacity and weighs less than 1,000 lbs. It’s ideal for applications like data center maintenance, office renovations and educational facilities.

Features Include:

  • Auto-lock brakes
  • Easy-lock caster wheels
  • Compact 28 in × 33.5 in. footprint
  • Lightweight, maneuverable frame

Strategy: Going Smaller with MEWPs

The ES1330M, ES1530M, ES1930M and 1230P represent a strategic focus from JLG on micro and low-level access lifts. These compact machines address a growing demand for lightweight, maneuverable platforms that reduce risk and increase productivity on modern indoor jobsites. With jobsite footprints shrinking and safety standards rising, JLG’s expanding portfolio of small electric MEWPs delivers practical, tech-forward solutions for indoor contractors.
